Last Call: When a Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York (HBO)

I edited the premiere episode of this four-part documentary series, which won a Golden Tomato award for Best Reviewed Docuseries 2023 from Rotten Tomatoes. It was praised by critics from The New Yorker, The New York Times, Vulture and other publications for elevating the true-crime genre. We did that by humanizing the victims and centering the story on the activists from the New York Anti-Violence Project who fought to get the NYPD to investigate the serial murders of gay men in the early 1990s.

Last Call: When a Serial Killer Stalked Queer New York (HBO)

In this world-building clip, the goal was to depict queer joy and the vibrant LGBTQ culture that existed in New York City in the early 1990s. I found so much satisfaction in creating this sequence.

The Knowing (short film)

Directed by Erin Lovett, The Knowing is a short psychological horror film exploring the trauma of infertility and loss, as well as reproductive pressure and choice. This is a short excerpt from the film which has won several awards and has screened in twelve festivals including HollyShorts, and is still going strong in its successful festival run.

Pride: 1980s Underground (FX on Hulu)

I edited three of the six episodes of this documentary series. This clip is from the 1980s episode, which features the intertwining stories of trans activist Ceyenne Doroshow, gay videographer Nelson Sullivan and lesbian journalist Ann Northrop.

Willie (feature film)

This feature documentary premiered at the Hot Docs Canadian International Documentary Festival and tells the story of Willie O’Ree, the first Black man allowed to play in the NHL. In this scene, the first I edited for the film, Willie is at home in California with his family awaiting word on whether he will be inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame, while his childhood friends are gathered in Fredericton, New Brunswick, Canada, for what they hope will be a celebration.

Pride: 2000s Y2Gay (FX on Hulu)

In this emotional clip, which appears at the end of the series, we look back on the history of the LGBTQ rights movement and envision the future.
